Celebrate Canada Day in Prince George

Wear red and white for Canada’s 150th birthday, and visit the many festivities held at one or more of the city parks. Start your day off eating birthday cake and watching culturally diverse entertainers at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park. Experience a taste of dishes from around the world at ethnic food concessions in the park. Bring the kids to try a variety of crafts and activities.

Special visitors will arrive in the sky and down the river. View the Royal Canadian Air Force’s CP140 aircraft flying over Prince George and cheer on the downriver paddlers at the finish line for the canoe race. Then, gather up your friends, family and neighbours to celebrate the day and watch a live performance as part of the Canada 150 Heatwave at Canada Games Plaza. Finish off the night with the Canfor Canada Day fireworks downtown, as bursts of bright colour come from atop of Connaught Hill.
