The Prince George RCMP have located and arrested a man wanted for property related offences in the city.
At approximately 7 p.m. on Wednesday June 14, Phillip Thompson Cooper was observed on foot near the corner of Victoria Street and 17th Avenue in Prince George. Officers closed in and Cooper attempted to flee, but was captured a short distance away.
The warrant stems from a May 19, 2017 incident where police received a report of a man trying to open vehicle doors on Gorse Street. Officers attended, located and arrested Cooper inside an unlocked vehicle that did not belong to him. He was also found in possession of stolen items believed to be from other vehicles. The incident occurred just after 5 a.m.
