Man wanted on property crime charges

Phillip Cooper

The Prince George RCMP are requesting the public’s help in locating a man wanted for property crimes in the city.

Phillip Thompson Cooper, a 51-year-old man who recently relocated to Prince George from Terrace, is wanted for theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime.

The warrant stems from a May 19, 2017 incident where police received a report of a man trying to open vehicle doors on Gorse Street.  Officers attended, located and arrested Cooper inside an unlocked vehicle that did not belong to him.  He was also found in possession of stolen items believed to be from other vehicles.  The incident occurred just after 5 a.m.

Cooper is described as:

  • First Nations male
  • 169 cm (5’7″)
  • 68 kg (150 lbs)
  • Black hair
  • Brown eyes
  • He has several tattoos on both arms and an amputated right index finger

Cooper is well known to police, who say he should be considered violent and is known to carry weapons.  If located, do not confront Cooper, call 9-1-1 immediately.
