Man wanted on several charges

Dustin Murray

Police are requesting the public’s help to locate a local man wanted for several offences.

Dustin Cecil Murray, a 29-year-old man from Prince George, is wanted on two counts of assault, and four counts of failing to comply with probation.

These charges stem from an incident that occurred on September 1, 2016.  Police responded to a report of an assault in progress on Upland Street in Prince George.  Officers attended a woman who had been assaulted, but the suspect, believed to be Murray, had fled the scene.  Murray has also breached release conditions from previous Criminal Code investigations.

Investigators believe Murray to be residing near the 2400 block of Upland Street and also believe that persons known to him maybe assisting him in evading capture.  The Prince George RCMP would like to remind the public that a person assisting a known wanted person can be subject to charges under the Criminal Code of Canada.

Dustin Cecil Murray is described as:

  • Caucasian male
  • 185 cm (6’1″)
  • 70 kg (155 lbs)
  • Brown hair
  • Blue eyes
  • Tattoo of the word “LIFE” on the right side of his neck

Murray has a long history with police and should be considered violent, say police.  If located, immediately contact the RCMP or the police of jurisdiction in your area by calling 9-1-1.  Do not confront Murray.

If you have any information about Dustin Cecil Murray or where he might be, please contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477, online at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca (English only), or Text-A-Tip to CRIMES (274637) using keyword “pgtips”.  You do not have to reveal your identity to Crime Stoppers.  If you provide information that leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
