One man is in custody and another recovering from wounds caused by an ‘edged weapon,’ following an incident on Fern Crescent Thursday.
Police were called out at about 8:30 p.m. When they arrived they found a man bleeding. He was transported to hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. A male suspect was located and arrested near the scene.
A search warrant is being sought for a nearby residence where the attack is believed to have taken place.
Dino Andrew Alec, a 23-year-old Prince George man, originally from Burns Lake, has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Alec was held in custody overnight and will make his first appearance in provincial court Friday. The victim remains in hospital in serious but stable condition.
