Six people facing charges in Vanderhoof break and enters

Six people are facing charges in connection with a spate of recent break and enters  in Vanderhoof.

On Monday May 15 Vanderhoof RCMP conduct investigations regarding a break and enter as well as a report of a theft complaint.

A suspect was quickly identified and arrested. During the course of the investigation, police discovered evidence of other offences resulting in search warrants being done at two separate homes in the Vanderhoof area.

As a result, police have recovered stolen property, several firearms, as well police have seized a significant amount of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Ninteen charges have been laid in this matter and more are expected said Cpl. Wade Harvey of the Vanderhoof RCMP. In total six individuals are expected to face numerous charges in this matter.

“The District of Vanderhoof appreciates the hard work done by the Vanderhoof RCMP that has seen these charges being laid,” said Vanderhoof Mayor Gerry Thiessen. “Our community is a much better place to call home because of their incredible effort and we thank them for their commitment.”
