Prince George’s first ever Pet Expo is coming to the Roll-A-Dome Sunday June 11.
Prince George Pet owners are invited for a fun day of information, entertainment, and educators who will be on hand for this event. Pet owners and lovers will find new innovative products and services from the pet industry and top Prince George veterinary clinics. It’s also a day for pet owners to help raise funds for our North Cariboo BCSPCA.
“We all have a responsibility to care for and love our own animals. We have been working closely with the BCSPCA to make the Prince George Pet Expo a big success,” said Brittney Shaw-McLaren president and chief dog walker of this year’s event.
“Events like this are a wonderful opportunity for the BCSPCA to encourage health and wellness of owned animals as well as those animals who are a part of the community such as feral cats, stray dogs and wildlife safety. Most importantly, the North Cariboo BCSPCA relies on donations to help care for the many sick and injured animals we see each and every day,” said Jamie Walsh BCSPCA Branch Manager for the North Cariboo.
Gary Thompson, of Subaru of Prince George which is a major PG Pet Expo sponsor, says: “Subaru knows the importance our pets have in our lives and we are proud to support the SPCA in Prince George. We look forward to Prince George residents coming out, celebrating pets and bringing their furry friends to the Roll-A-Dome for all the fun on June 11.”
The Pet Expo Main Stage area will be the site of great entertainment including:
- Obedience Demonstrations from the RCMP Victim Services K9s, and Caring K9 Institute.
- The Prince George 4-H Exhibit and Pet display. Meet the animals and the young people who learn how to become productive, self-assured adults through a program deep in tradition.
- The fun friendly mascots of Prince George. Including the world famous GOAT from 94.3, Rowdy Cat from the Prince George Cougars, and Super Dog from the BCSPCA.
Some of the show’s highlights include:
Fun for the entire family with LA Promotion’s bouncy castles.
Information from local veterinary clinics.
Musical dog chairs.
Hot dog eating contest.
Photo booths.
Sponsors include: Subaru, BCSPCA, Aces K9 Care, Murdoch Veterinary Clinic, Prince George Veterinary Hospital, 4 H Club, LA Promotions, Roll-A-Dome, RCMP Therapy Dogs, Caring K9 Institute, Two Bunnies Rescue, and Riplee’s Ranch.

PG pet expo. I’m afraid they will have a very low turn out. Almost no advertising. No posters on boards at dog parks. Most dog owners probably don’t even know its happening. As a person who likes to attend pet related events this is disappointing because low turnout means they wont consider having another. The little info I have seen doesn’t even list a starting time.
Agreed..and nothing about costs involved, admission, etc…fyi, http://www.pgpetexpo.com (thx Google!)..11am-4pm
