In response to questions from parents and members of the public, School District No. 57 will hold an information session in McBride May 18.
Residents have asked how British Columbia tax dollars flow through the Ministry of Education to School District No. 57 and into McBride Centennial School and McBride Secondary School budgets. In addition, parents have also questioned how provincial curriculum and local programming decisions can best serve their children.
Assistant Superintendent Nevio Rossi, Director of Finance Darleen Patterson and Cindy Heitman District Principal of Learning Innovations along with trustee representatives and McBride elementary and secondary school principals will be on hand to present information and to answer questions.
The meeting will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. at the McBride Secondary School. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
