One person killed in motorhome crash on Nazko Highway

On Thursday March 30th 2017 at 8:11 a.m., Quesnel RCMP responded to a report of a crash on the Nazko Highway approximately 40 kilometres east of Quesnel.

A Chevrolet Motorhome was travelling on the highway, lost control and left the travelled portion of the road.

Upon arrival at the scene, police and emergency service personnel found one man deceased and another person taken to hospital in serious condition.

As a result of the crash, the highway was closed in both directions but is now open to single alternating traffic. The collision reconstructionist from Prince George has been called to assist in this investigation.

While the RCMP work to determine the causal factors in this crash, road conditions were reported to be slippery at the time.
