The NDP fully support the $44.3 million replacement of Kelly Road Secondary School, announced Friday, but question the timing of the news, according to Prince George-Mackenzie candidate Bobby Deepak.
“Finally! After so many years listed as a priority by School District 57 to be replaced, Christy Clark just announced that Kelly Road Secondary will be replaced – she announced this right before the election campaign,” Deepak posted on his Facebook page. “Her pre-election spending promises are hard to believe and it is sad that it had to wait for an election campaign for her to make the decision. Christy Clark has neglected and fought against our public education school system for far too long.
“Yes, John Horgan and I both support replacing Kelly Road Secondary, as it should have been replaced long ago not only as an announcement to try to buy votes prior to an election.”
