If you’re heading west of Prince George today, be careful.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for areas west of Prince Geeorge, with total amounts of 20 to 25 centimetres expected.
Snow will continue today as a frontal system pushes onto the north coast. Total snowfall amounts near 25 cm can be expected today and tonight between Terrace and Smithers.
Warm air aloft begins to creep inland this evening and a risk of freezing rain will persist tonight into early Monday morning.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
