Prince George city council will hear from a group of College Heights residents Monday concerned about the fate of North College Park.
Armed with a 925-name petition, residents will call on council to apply dedicated park status to all of the park, located between Simon Fraser Avenue and Domano Boulevard. Although there is no formal application to develop the park at this time, a development, called Eton Estates, has been proposed and an area has been logged.
“We consider North College Park to be a valuable asset to our neighbourhood and think that it is worth preserving,” the group hoping to preserve the park says in its presentation to council.
Council will meet at 6 p.m. Monday.
