Volunteer Prince George is encouraging all residents of Prince George to participate in the Canada 150 for 150 Challenge.
The Canada 150 for 150 Volunteer Challenge is a nation-wide movement led by Volunteer Ottawa in partnership with Volunteer Canada and Volunteer Centres across the country. The goal is to have Canadians give 150 hours of volunteer time in 2017 in celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary.
This initiative is made possible by the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th, a collaboration between the Prince George Community Foundation, the Government of Canada, and the City of Prince George.
It’ easy to participate:

Volunteering is the act of donating/giving time freely and willingly for the common good/public benefit without monetary/financial gain.
Formal volunteering is voluntary action as part of an established cause or nonprofit organization’s activities. Informal volunteering is voluntary action that directly or indirectly benefits people outside the family or household or else benefits a cause.
