The Prince George Heritage Commission, The Prince George Public Library and The UNBC Continuing Studies Department are coordinating a free Heritage Expo in Prince George. Local authors, historians, museums, First Nations and other organizations from this region will be displaying their local knowledge on the history of our region.
The event is being held in conjunction with BC Heritage week and Canada’s National Heritage Day. Heritage Week is an opportunity to explore, share and celebrate the history of people, events and locations in British Columbia.
The Heritage Expo will be held Saturday, February 18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Keith Gordon Room at the Prince George Public Library.
Local authors like Trelle Morrow, Ray Olson and Clarence Boudreau will be in attendance to talk about their books and sign one for you as well! The UNBC Archives and Exploration place will also be displaying a variety of archival photos from the region. More than 20 historical displays from our region will be available during the day.
