Cam McNamara finishes first in P.G. Iceman

Cam McNamara finished the 30th running of the Prince George Iceman with a time of one hour, 55 minutes and 13 second, just four seconds ahead of second place finisher Chris Pendray.

Michael Buchanan, competing in the Grand Masters Men division, placed third in the solo competition with a time of 1:59:53.

McNamara completed the cross country ski portion in 25:41, the 10-kilometre run in 40:32, the skate in 13:05, the five-kilometre run in 15:42, and the 800 metre swim in 15:42.

The first woman to complete the entire gruelling course solo Cara McCulloch with a time of 2:14:00, finishing 11th overall. Lindsay Vadermeer was right behind her completing the course in a time of 2:15:14.

The two-member team On the Double won first place in the Relay Open Men category, finishing the course with a time of 1:52:07.

The two-member team Brown Fat, competing in the Relay Open Mixed division, was second overall with a time of 1:56:44. The two-member team Double Trouble, from Hagensborg, finished third overall.

The three-member team CSFS Spirit was the first across the finish line in the Relay Open Women’s division, was a time of 2:00:22.

Heritage Snow Hawks placed first in the Community Schools Relay division, with a time of 2:18:17. Spruceland Spartan Storm Chasers 3 was second and Team Cats was third.

Once Upon a Dream Team finished first in the Junior Mixed Relay division with a time of 1:37:25. Slip Slip Sliding Away was second and Garcons Des Glace was third.
