The Prince George Spruce Kings are very excited to announce that defenceman Tyler Anderson has committed to Lake Superior State University for next season.

Joining the Spruce Kings from the West Kelowna Warriors, Anderson leads the league in scoring amongst blueliners with 17 goals in 48 games, and leads the entire BCHL in PIM with 101. His point production has jumped dramatically with Prince George playing at nearly a point per game pace with 41 points in 42 games. In West Kelowna he had a combined 11 points in 64 regular season games.

Lake Superior State is in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association of the NCCA. Anderson will be joining former Spruce King Bryan Basilico on the team. The pair were both on last season’s West Kelowna squad that won the Fred Page Cup, Western Canada Cup, and RBC Cup.

The news comes ahead of tonight’s final home game in the regular season for Prince George. They take on none other than the West Kelowna Warriors at 7 p.m. in the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.
