Three men are in custody following a home invasion in Quesnel Sunday.
RCMP got the call at about 4 p.m. that a home invasion had occurred at a residence near Plywood Hilll. Fortunately, the victims were not physically injured.
Within hours General Duty members located and arrested two male suspects.
As well as part of this investigation a residence on Veneer Road was secured and searched by the North District’s Emergency Response Team and police dog services. A third male suspect was arrested at that location and two females, not believed to be involved in the home invasion, were also found inside and were arrested on outstanding warrants and breaches.
All suspects are well known to the Quesnel RCMP. The investigation into the home invasion continues.
“Crimes like these will not be tolerated,” said S/Sgt Andrew Burton, Quesnel detachment commander. “As was shown in this incident, the Quesnel RCMP is a part of large organization and we can call on an incredible team of resources to assist us when needed and we will continue to use those resources to ensure our community is kept safe.”
