Dawson Creek RCMP continue to investigate a shooting that sent one person to hospital early this morning.
At 3:41 a.m. police received a call from the Dawson Creek Hospital after woman came to the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police spoke with the woman and learned that the shooting occurred at a residence in Dawson Creek. A suspect had been identified and was arrested a short time later without incident. The victim has been transported to Vancouver for further treatment where her condition has been listed as stable.
Regional General Investigation Section from Fort St John has been called in to assist as well as members from Prince George Regional General Investigation Section.
