Police arrest pair wanted on multitude of charges

A man and woman are in custody after attempting to flee police yesterday morning.

Shortly before noon Wednesday Prince George RCMP  arrested Cole Aubichon, 28, and Cree Parenteau, 21, on outstanding warrants. Both are from Prince George.

Police saw Aubichon and Parenteau  get out of a vehicle in the 2200 block of Oak Street.  When the police turned their emergency lights on, Aubichon fled on foot into a nearby alley, according to police.

A police service dog team assisted and Dero tracked Aubichon to a residence on the 2100 block of Norwood Street.  Police say Aubichon failed to comply with police commands and resisted arrest, but was taken into custody with minor bite wounds.

Aubichon was wanted on four charges of failing to comply with probation, three counts of failing to comply with an undertaking, two counts of obstructing a peace officer, theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of break-in instruments.

Parenteau was wanted on two counts of theft under $5,000, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, four counts of failing to comply with a recognizance, and possession of break-in instruments.

Aubichon has been remanded in custody and will appear in court on Friday January 6.  Parenteau has been remanded in custody and will appear in court on Thursday January 12.  Additional charges on both persons are possible.
