A woman is recovering in hospital after apparently jumping from a moving vehicle on Giscome Road Saturday.
Prince George RCMP received a report at about 5:15 a.m. October 29 that a woman, suffering from severe injuries, was at the University Hospital of Northern B.C.
Police attended the hospital where the intoxicated 24-year-old woman was being treated for serious injuries. The Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit was called in to lead the investigation and a RCMP Collision Reconstructionist was called in to assist.
A portion of Giscome Road, where the incident occurred, was closed for approximately five hours while evidence was gathered.The driver of the vehicle, a 28-year-old man, brought the woman to hospital and is cooperating with police. Although the investigation is continuing, so far there is no evidence to suggest that foul play was a factor.
