Operations have begun to rehabilitate and widen North Nechako Road, which will allow for the installation of bike lanes.
City crews are pulverizing sections of the stretch of road between Toombs and Rosia Roads prior to paving.
The work will also widen the roads from 7.5 metres to 10.2 metres to allow for bike lanes.
Operations are expected to take about one week. Lines for the bike lanes are anticipated to be painted a few days after paving is completed.
All of the work is weather dependent.
