The City of Prince George is advising motorists and residents who travel along Hoferkamp Road
that work has begun on the city’s Hoferkamp Road stabilization project.
The city has awarded GeoStabilization International the contract to do the work, which is
intended to stabilize the bank that has experienced serious erosion over the past few years,
and to re-establish the required road width.
Hoferkamp Road will be restricted to local traffic during construction and users of the route
should expect delays.
The work is anticipated to be completed by the end of September.
The project budget is $500,000 and it is an item listed in the current capital plan.
