The Prince George RCMP were busy as usual on this past Monday night responding to 46 calls for service between 6 p.m. Monday July 11 and 6 a.m. Tuesday July 12. During that time, 17 people were held in cells overnight and 13 were scheduled to appear in court today. Break & Enter Business (16-21241) – On Monday July 11th, 2016 at approximately 9:20 PM, officers responded to a report of a suspicious male with bolt cutters on 1st Avenue. Trent Jack JOHNER, a 43 year old resident of Prince George, was located inside a business on the 1900 block of 1st Avenue. He was arrested without incident and will appear in court later today facing one charge of Break & Enter and one charge of Possession of Break-in Instruments. Shoplifting Arrests (16-21247) – At approximately 10:25 PM, officers were called to a report of three shoplifters at a large grocery retailer on Ferry Avenue in Prince George. The three adult females were found in possession of over $450 in products believed to have been taken from the store. Joann MONK, 48 years old, Gina MONK, 36 years old, and 29 year old Casey MONK have been held in custody until court later today. All three have been charged with Theft Under $5000. Casey has additional charges of Possession of Stolen Property (2 counts) and Breach of Undertaking. Gina has an additional charge of Obstruction, as she provided a false name to officers. All three suspects are Prince George residents and related to one another. Theft of Liquor (16-21250) – At approximately 10:50 PM, officers responded to a theft at a liquor store on Monterey Road in Prince George. Two male suspects grabbed multiple bottles of liquor and fled the store without paying. One suspect was located a short time later and four bottles of liquor were recovered. He remains in custody pending identification. One suspect has yet to be located. Auto Theft Suspect Arrested (16-16751) – At approximately 11:45 PM, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven with no headlights. Stephen James SHERMAN, a 24 year old passenger of the vehicle, was arrested in relation to the theft of a vehicle that occurred during the early morning of June 7th in the Buckhorn area, south of Prince George. SHERMAN was found in possession of tools believed to be used in property crime and a small amount of methamphetamine. He was held overnight and will appear in court later today facing charges of Theft of Motor Vehicle, Mischief and Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000. Four others were arrested for Breaching Conditions and two others were arrested on outstanding Warrants.
