#TheNorthMatters rallies in Prince George

Following a truck convoy through the city, a couple of dozen people attended a rally in support of resource communities outside the BC Natural Resources Forum Wednesday. "We have a lot of grassroots groups around the province and we're all fighting for resources and opportunities for resource families," said Dave Johnston of #TheNorthMatters, one of the organizers. "We're showing solidarity with all our grassroots groups." He said the groups are apolitical and are not affiliated with the YellowVest movement. "Resource communities matter," Johnston said. "The reason we're apolitical is because whoever is the party of the day, we need to work with them and we need to provide opportunities for families in northern B.C., Alberta, and across Canada."
