Valemount College has received provincial accreditation by successfully passing the requirements and standards set out by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education.
“As an interim designated and certified college, students can be assured that our academic programs have attained a level that meets or exceeds standards that were developed by experts in the field,” said Eric Kromhout, college director. “Additionally, instructors employed at Valemount College also meet strict recruitment standards set out by the PTIB while employers can be assured that our graduates are qualified and employment ready.”
The college intends to begin offering the first two academic programs, tourism administration and rural entrepreneurship and small business management in the spring of 2019 with two additional programs expected to be offered in late-2019 or early-2020.

After completion of a feasibility study and market study, the creation of four exceptional post-secondary academic certificate programs centering around tourism took place and included: Mountain Adventure Tourism, Rural Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, Tourism Administration, and First Nations Cultural Tourism.
Additionally, the college offers short-term Edu-tourism Learning Adventure Programs encompassing four main themes: Back to the Land; Basics in the Mountains; Mountain Arts; Nature in the Mountains, and; Outdoor Recreation.
Valemount College is nestled at the base of three mountain ranges, the Rockies, the Cariboos and the Monashees, in the scenic Robson Valley, 20 minutes from Mount Robson, the tallest mountain in the Rocky Mountain Range.
