Police confirm Friday morning shooting

Police have now confirmed that a house was hit with gunfire Friday moring.

Police were called out to a report of shots fired shortly before 6 a.m. Friday in the 1300-bloc of  Strathcona Avenue.

Officers located a residence that appeared to have been hit by gun shots.  Several people were inside the residence at the time of the incident, however no injuries were reported.

This incident appears to have been targeted.  The investigation is continuing.

It’s second report of shots fired over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

On Monday, October 8, at approximately 6:15 a.m., the Prince George RCMP received at least two reports of shots fired in the area of the 2600 block of Upland Street.

Several officers attended the area to investigate.  Extensive patrols and inquiries were made in the area, however no further information or evidence of a shooting was obtained.
