Spruce Kings beat Rivermen, lose to Express

After posting a 4-3 win over the Langley Rivermen Saturday night, the Spruce Kings dropped a 3-1 decision Sunday to the Coquitlam Express.

Ben Poisson scored twice and Dylan Anhorn and Nick Bochen added singles to pace the Spruce Kings over the Rivermen Saturday. Alec Capstick, Garrett Daly, and William Stromp replied for the Rivermen.

Logan Neaton made 21 saves in the Prince George net.

On Sunday in Coquitlam, the Spruce Kings were outshot 34-23 and Bradley Cooper was in net for the loss.

Chong Min Lee notched the Spruce Kings’ only marker, halfway through the second frame. Scoring for the Express were Alex DePaolo, Chase Danol, and Drew Cooper.

The Spruce Kings return to the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena this weekend with Wenatchee in town Friday and Victoria Saturday.
