Two dead, nine injured in crash on Alaska Highway

Two people were killed and nine people injured, one critically, in a two-vehicle crash on the Alaska Highway at the Kiskatinaw Bridge pullout Sunday.

Dawson Creek RCMP report that a van was travelling south on the highway and struck by a pickup truck as the van attempted to turn left into the Kistatinaw Bridge pullout.

There were five people in the truck and six in the van.  All occupants in the truck and four of the occupants in the van were taken to hospital with one in critical condition. Two of the occupants of the van died on scene as a result of the collision.

It has been learned that the passenger who was in critical condition has since stabilized.
