Home invasion suspect sought

Prince George RCMP are seeking to identify a woman who broke into a residence Thursday morning and wanted to cuddle with the occupant.

RCMP say the incident occurred at about 5:30 a.m. at a residence in the 700 block of Patricia Boulevard.

A woman gained access through an unlocked window in the residence.  She made her way into the home and into the bedroom where the lone resident slept.  The suspect began to cuddle the elderly female resident, waking her in a fright.  The resident told the intruder she had to leave and escorted her to the door and out without further incident.

The Prince George RCMP are concerned about this incident and would like to identify the person responsible.

“Just because no one was hurt, doesn’t mean that this isn’t serious,” said Cpl. Craig Douglass, spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP.  “Anyone that knowingly breaks into someone’s home while they sleep, has no regard for other people or their property.  We need to locate her.”

Unfortunately, no description is available at this time.  The investigation is continuing.
