Nominations for the Prince George Chamber of Commerce’s 2018 Business Excellence Awards are now open.

The awards, now in their 33rd year, recognize excellence across the business community in Prince George. They are open to the entire Prince George business community. Nominations and awards are not exclusive to Chamber members.

“Prince George is home to numerous businesses at the forefront of their fields, representing tremendous diversity and breadth for our community,” said Todd Corrigall, CEO, Prince George Chamber of Commerce, in a news release. “We encourage all businesses, business people and individuals to nominate their favourite local businesses in the suitable category, as these businesses deserve the recognition they have worked so hard to attain.”

The Prince George Chamber of Commerce has made some adjustment this year, adding new award categories. This year’s categories are:

  • Entrepreneur of the Year
  • Service Excellence Award
  • Business of the Year
  • Business Person of the Year
  • Environmental Awareness Award
  • Community Impact Award
  • Innovator of the Year
  • Micro Business of the Year
  • Outstanding Corporate Culture Award
  • Excellence in Hospitality
  • Excellence in Food Service
  • Remarkable Visitor Experience

“This year we have added new categories within the hospitality and tourism sector, as we have seen tremendous growth and expansion within those verticals,” said Corrigall. “I am excited to see all of the tremendous business nominations coming forward and look forward to celebrating with all of the nominees at the nominee luncheon this September.”
