Police officers from the Prince Rupert Crime Reduction Unit, Plain Clothes Section, General Duty and the Terrace Police Dog Service executed two search warrants on the two homes at approximately 5:30 a.m.

As a result of a search of the homes police located and seized the following:

  • 9 ounces of Cocaine;
  • 24 grams of Crack Cocaine;
  • 9.62 ounces of Marijuana;
  • 2.5 ounces of Marijuana resin;
  • Packaging materials;
  • Scales;
  • Approximately $7,000.00.

Ten people were arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking. The drugs seized estimated in a total street value of approximately $40,000.00.

“This is a significant seizure removing a large amount of drugs off of our streets,” said Acting Detachment Commander S/Sgt. Dave Uppal. “These homes were in a close proximity to a school, which can pose a threat to our youth”.

The investigation is ongoing and further information will be provided when it is available.
