Heart for Hospice dinner and dance Saturday

Looking to take your special Valentine out for some dining and dancing? Don’t wait until Valentines Day next week, take that someone special out this weekend.

Why not take in the Heart for Hospice Valentines Dinner and Dance at the Columbus Hall in College Heights Saturday, February 10? You will not only have a great time, but you will help out Prince George Hospice in the process.

“We’re really excited to be doing this event for the second year in a row and have some really fun things planned for the night of,” says Sanja Knezevic, special events coordinator for Prince George Hospice. “There will be a champagne fountain, a candy bar, a photo booth, silent auction and two different raffles throughout the evening.”

One of the silent auction items is four tickets to Cirque Du Soleil in a box at CN Centre donated by Warmac Ventures valued at $500.

Tickets sales are steady but we have lots of them still available so we are encouraging people to get them as soon as possible,” says Knezevic. “Fundraising events like this mean a lot to hospice, we need to fundraise $1.4 million a year to stay operational so any fundraising we do is vitally important to our cause.”

The event is being sponsored by Hub City Volkswagen and Pacific Western Brewing. Dave Mothus will be the DJ for the night, which gets underway at 6 p.m. with the food hitting the table at 7 p.m.

For tickets or information on the event you can head to our Hospice Society office at 1506 Ferry Avenue or call at 250-563-2551.
