Two pedestrians are recovering in hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Kenny Dam Road Tuesday.
Vanderhoof RCMP say a man and woman were walking across the road to speak with the occupants of a car that was parked in the middle of the road when they were hit.
Police say the two pedestrians were under the influence of alcohol and dressed in dark clothing. The driver of the vehicle did not see the pedestrians as visibility was obstructed from the headlights of the parked car.
The pedestrians sustained injuries to their lower extremities but the injuries are not life threatening. Both remain in hospital at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
