Attempted child abduction from daycare

Police are warning parents and child care facilities after an attempted child abduction late last week.

At approximately 3 p.m. Friday, a woman attended a daycare and specifically requested to pick up a child by her name.  The suspect was not able to provide identification and was refused access to the child.  The suspect left without further incident.  A parent was advised and it was confirmed that no one else was authorized to pick up the child.

The woman is described as:

• Adult Caucasian female

• Short

• Slender

• Blonde hair

Investigators believe that this was a targeted incident, but wish to warn all parents and daycare providers as a precaution.  The investigation is continuing.
