Pool/firehall referendum set for Saturday

This is the last week before the referendum to re-build the Four Seasons Leisure Pool and Fire Hall #1. Here’s what you need to know going into general voting day on Saturday.

ADVANCE POLL – the last advance poll is today (Tuesday), from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at City Hall.

REFERENDUM INFORMATION – Visitwww.princegeorge.ca/referendum for info about the current state of the Four Seasons and Fire Hall #1 and why the City is proposing to re-build them. The new pool would be across Seventh Avenue, on property that is currently a Days Inn hotel. The fire hall would move to a site on Massey, near the Y, so that it’s coverage area would be increased by 50 per cent. The website explains what is being proposed and the costs, provides links to short videos, outlines voter eligibility, and lists voting opportunities.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28 – GENERAL VOTING DAY!
Cast your ballot at John McInnis Centre or one of these schools: Kelly Road, Edgewood, DP Todd, Ron Brent, Vanway, Malaspina, or Blackburn. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

RESULTS – Unofficial results will be posted on the City website and social media channels shortly after the polls close.
