Search on for man who committed indecent acts

Police are looking for the public’s help in identifying the person responsible for sexually related offences over the past three weeks.

Three similar incidents have been reported to the Prince George RCMP describing a man preforming an indecent act near University Way or on the trail system leading up to the University of Northern B.C.  In one case, the man was only wearing socks.  During the investigation of these files, three more similar incidents were found, one in July, one in August and one in September of 2017.

In all these incidents the suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his late teens or early 20s. He reportedly performed these acts when a woman was passing by.  No assaults took place.  Unfortunately, by the time police were called, the suspect had fled the area.

If you have been a victim of a similar incident and have not reported it to police, please call 250-561-3300.  If you come across someone preforming an indecent act, call 9-1-1 immediately and remain on the line.

The Prince George RCMP’s Sex Crimes Unit is leading this investigation.  Officers are looking for any information about these crimes or the person responsible.  If you have information, please contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477, online at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca (English only), or Text-A-Tip to CRIMES (274637) using keyword “pgtips”.  You do not have to reveal your identity to Crime Stoppers.  If you provide information that leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
