City wage bill tops $55 million


The city employed 955 people during the last fiscal year, according to its Statement of Financial Information.

That resulted in an overall wage bill of $55.2 million, plus a further $1.1 million in expenses.

Of the 955 employees, 666 made less than $75,000 per year for a wage bill $25.6 million, plus $630,000 in expenses. The other 289 employees made more than $75,000 for a wage bill of $29.6 million. The employees making more than $75,000 per year also racked up $486,000 in expenses.

City manager Kathleen Soltis tops the remuneration list with a salary of 239,983.88. She also billed 20,072.56 in expenses.
