Foul play suspected in disappearance of Roberta Sims

The Prince George RCMP are continuing to investigate the disappearance of Prince George resident Roberta Marie Sims.

On Sunday May 14,, the Prince George RCMP began this investigation after receiving a report from a concerned member of the public.

Police believe that Roberta’s disappearance is very suspicious and out of character.  Investigators are concerned that she may have met with foul play.  The Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit has been called in to lead the investigation.

The Prince George RCMP are looking for more information from the public.  Anyone that may have seen Roberta Sims or could provide information about her regular or recent activities is urged to contact police at the numbers below.

Roberta Marie Sims is described as:

  • Caucasian female
  • 55 years old
  • 163 cm (5’4″)
  • 70 kg (154 lbs)
  • Long strawberry-blonde hair
  • Blue eyes
  • Several tattoos including on her left upper arm, her right upper chest & a robin bird on the right side of her neck

In addition, Roberta usually had her small dog with her.

 “Although her dog and vehicle have been located, investigators would also like to speak to anyone that may have seen her or her vehicle since May 1,” said Cpl. Craig Douglass, spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP.

Police are also asking businesses owners and managers to check video surveillance.

The vehicle is described as a dark red 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer with 4 doors and bearing BC licence plates BH248X.

Roberta, who often goes by the first name Robin, may also go by the first name Bobby and the last names Chambers or Jacobson.
