Pair charged following Foothills chase

The two men arrested early yesterday morning after fleeing police in a stolen vehicle, have been charged by provincial Crown counsel.

Jordan Kenneth Oshaway, 26, from Prince George, and Aidan Wesley MacDonald, 40, from Cluculz Lake, have been charged with possession of stolen property obtained by crime over $5,000, and obstructing a peace officer.

At about 2 a.m. Wednesday, a member of the Prince George RCMP’s General Duty Section observed what was believed to be a stolen pick-up being driven on Foothills Boulevard near 15th Avenue in Prince George.

The vehicle accelerated north bound on Foothills at a high rate of speed.  A few minutes later the vehicle was located in a ditch on Chief Lake Road near Highway 97.  Two males were observed running from the vehicle.  One suspect was arrested immediately.  Police service dog Dero was brought in and the second suspect was tracked to the intersection of Highway 97 and Lehman Street, more than three kilometres away, where he was arrested without incident.

The 2004 Ford F-350 pick up recovered at the scene was reported stolen from a commercial parking lot on Domano Boulevard.
